Defence industry hub
South Australia is home to major defence projects including ASC shipbuilding at Osborne. EHS compliance for defence manufacturing requires specialised hazard management for welding, confined spaces, and hazardous chemicals.
Mining sector
SA has a significant mining industry including copper, iron ore, and uranium. Mining operations must comply with both WHS regulations and mining-specific safety requirements.
Agriculture & viticulture
South Australia's large agricultural and viticulture sectors present unique WHS challenges including plant safety, manual handling, heat stress, and chemical exposure from pesticides and fertilisers.
