Timber SWMS Templates

Safe Work Method Statements are required for high-risk work activities in the timber industry under the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2025. Timber operations involve machinery that causes more amputations than any other plant category in Australian manufacturing, wood dust classified as a Group 1 carcinogen for hardwood species, and formaldehyde exposure from engineered timber products. All EHS Atlas templates include psychosocial hazard controls mandated from 1 April 2023 and Section 26A binding code of practice mapping effective 1 July 2026. Each template is built around the incoming WEL values taking effect 1 December 2026.
